HARP INSTRUCTION

​

 

Dr. Suen-Campbell is currently harp faculty at Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada. 

She maintains a vibrant private studio in Oakville, Ontario.

She is also a certified Royal Conservatory of Music teacher (Advanced Specialist);

Lessons are available both in-person and online.

​

Teresa studied with teachers from different technical practices of U.S. & Europe. She has had over 20 years of experience in teaching. She has been teaching online since 2012, and her students come from Canada, U.S., China and Ukraine.

​

Dr. Suen-Campbell understands the individuality of her students and uses different repertoire and technique to nourish their different talents and need. She challenges them to think independently and critically in their approaches towards music and harp. Most of all, she encourages them to love the harp and music. 

​

She also integrates theory knowledge in her harp lessons to build a strong foundation right from the start.

Dr. Suen Campbell encourages her students to perform in recitals, music festivals and ensembles etc. 

Many of them obtained good results in various festivals, auditions and competitions, such as:

• American Harp Society National Competition (Finalist)

• Young Artist's Harp Competition (Finalist) 

• Ontario Music Festival and Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival

• Ontario Harp Society Scholarship Audition

• Royal Conservatory School of Music Exam,(Ontario & National), Gold Medalists

• Principal Harpists, Oakville Youth Symphony, Guelph Youth Symphony and Toronto Youth Symphony. 

• KPU International Music Festival 

• Master of Music degree in harp performance from Northwestern University 

• ​University lecturer in Music & Professional harp teachers/performers

​Apart from private harp lessons, Dr. Suen-Campbell also offers coaching in chamber music, harp ensemble as well as orchestral & operatic repertoire. 

​

She is happy to provide assistance in locating harps for her students (Rental/Purchase).
